Supreme Court Sodomy Law Decision Rally (June 26, 2003)

On June 26, 2003, the United States Supreme Court struck down a Texas law that criminalizes homosexual behavior, a ruling considered to be a major victory for gay rights in the United States. The justices voted 6-3 in striking down the Texas law, saying it violated due process guarantees.

Gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people living openly and honestly have put a real face on the issue. That act of courage, lived every day, can bring about great change. Visibility is a big influence that made the court's ruling so different than it would have been 15 years ago.

Thanks to everyone for coming out and being out!!
